About Surgical Oncology
At the Division of Surgical Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), you will be treated by highly trained, specialized surgical oncologists with years of experience in surgery and cancer care. All of our surgical oncologists are board certified and faculty members at Harvard Medical School. We train the next generation of surgical oncologists through the Mass General Brigham/Dana-Farber Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
The Division of Surgical Oncology comprises surgical treatment for Cutaneous (Skin Cancer) and Melanoma; Liver, Pancreas and Biliary Services; and Sarcoma Services.
Our surgeons are also active physician researchers; Dr. Bertagnolli serves as Group Chair for The Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. The Alliance is an NCI-funded cancer cooperative group formed in 2011 by the merger of the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, the Cancer and Leukemia Group B, and the North Central Cancer Treatment Group.
