We offer a comprehensive range of resources at these locations for patients and families—from counseling and support groups to educational services, products and physical therapy. These resources help to address issues that you may face during and after your breast surgery treatment.

Social Work
Our social work staff have experience with the emotional, social and financial impacts of breast surgery. They can facilitate continuity of care as patients go from hospital to home.
Psychosocial Oncology Program
The caregivers in our Psychosocial Oncology Program develop individualized treatment plans aimed at helping you cope with emotional stress through all phases of the cancer experience.
Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center Patient Navigator Program
The Breast Patient Navigator helps patients make their way through the healthcare system by providing access and identifying resources for patients with abnormal breast findings, patients at increased risk of developing breast cancer, or patients diagnosed with breast cancer. The Breast Patient Navigator is bilingual in Spanish and available to work with any patient in the program’s target population whose socioeconomic status or limited English proficiency may be a potential barrier to screening or follow-up care. Support Groups
As a Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center patient, you and your family are encouraged and welcome to participate in supportive services available at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, including support groups.
Our breast cancer specialists incorporate survivorship into each patient's overall care, giving them access to services that address emotional concerns, fertility and sexual health about side effects that can arise from certain treatments.
We work closely with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Adult Survivorship Program, a member of the LIVESTRONG Survivorship Center of Excellence Network, to provide ongoing clinical care and services for adult-onset cancer survivors.
Rehabilitation
Physical therapists at our Rehabilitation Services locations help patients alleviate physical symptoms that may arise from surgical or medical treatment for breast cancer.
