Adam S. Kibel, MD, MHCM, is the Chair of the Department of Urology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Disease Center Leader, Urology, at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. In addition, he is the Co-Director of the Prostate Cancer Center, the Elliott Carr Culter Professor of Surgery in Urology at Harvard Medical School, Chairman of the Harvard Training Program, and has been named the DiNovi Family Distinguished Chair in Urology.

Dr Kibel’s research focuses on the identification of molecular markers of urologic tumors, adjuvant and neoadjuvant approaches to treatment of aggressive disease, and improved imaging of patients with urologic malignancies. He has spent over 20 years focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer patients. Currently, he is focused on treating high-risk prostate cancer with systemic therapy, as well as identifying more efficient ways to screen patients for prostate cancer based on genetic data.

Steven Lee Chang, MD, MS,is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He currently serves as the Section Chief of Urologic Oncology. Dr. Chang is heavily focused in health services research. He is investigating options to reduce the overall burden of urologic cancers on the health care system and improving the delivery of care of. Primarily focused on population-based research techniques, Dr. Chang is interested in decision-analytic modeling and secondary analysis of large databases.

Timothy Clinton, MD, MPH,is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Center. His clinical interests are in the treatment of all genitourinary malignancies with a focus on urothelial carcinoma and testicular cancer utilizing both open and robotic approaches. His research interests are defining the genomic determinants of urothelial carcinoma and germ call tumors.

Alexander Cole, MD,is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and Junior Core Faculty at the Center of Surgery and Public Health. He is a clinical scientist whose work has been honored in multiple settings, including the American Urological Association and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Surgery. Dr. Cole’s clinical practice consists of open and robotic urological oncology as well as focal therapy, including High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) ablation, cryotherapy, and irreversible electroporation.

Filipe L. De Carvalho, MD, PhD,is a urologic oncologist and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He is also the principal investigator of the Carvalho Lab, which has a mission of advancing urologic care through computational and functional genomics. His research interest integrates genomic and transcriptomic data and pre-clinical models to define molecular mechanisms of cancer progression and resistance to therapy, with a particular interest on bladder cancer.

George Haleblian, MD,is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He currently serves as the Director of Endourology and as the Program Director of Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School Urology Residency. Dr. Haleblian’s research focuses include dietary manipulation for prevention of urinary tract stone formation and the development of new technologies for management of kidney stones. He is actively involved in research investigating modeling of shock wave dynamics in a virtual human during shock wave lithotripsy.

Martin Kathrins, MD,is an Associate Surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, and the Director of the Men’s Health Center. His clinical interests include male infertility, hypogonadism, sexual dysfunction, and voiding dysfunction. He routinely encounters men with idiopathic infertility, and this experience has served as a strong impetus to pursue research that will aid patients in understanding the causes, risk factors, and general health implications of male-factor infertility. His research focuses include male factor infertility and the epidemiology of hypogonadism and testosterone supplementation therapy.

Matthew Mossanen, MD, MPH, is a urologic oncologist with a specialized focus on improving the quality and outcomes of patients with bladder cancer. He has developed a program aimed at improving patient preparation for cystectomies, a complex operation subject to complication and readmissions. Additionally, he has worked on assessing the quality of case and access to care for patients undergoing urologic cancer surgeries with a focus on cystectomy and leveraged secondary data analysis to better understanding the types and costs of complications.

Graeme D. Steele, MD,is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Surgical Oncologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and The Professor Walter Morris-Hale Distinguished Chair in Urologic Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Steele has conducted research on benign prostatic hyperplasia, urodynamic evaluation, bladder cancer, urinary cancer, and testicular cancer, and is the author of numerous clinical publications.

Mark A. Preston, MD, MPH,is a urologic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Urological Research with the Urology Department. He is the site investigator for numerous clinical trials focused on the treatment and outcomes of men with prostate and bladder cancer. His research concentrates on the epidemiology of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancer risk with an emphasis on predictive biomarkers and pharmacoepidemiology, with focus on smarter PSA screening using mid-life PSA levels and ERAS (enhanced recovery after surgery) protocols for patients undergoing radical cystectomy for bladder cancer.

Quoc-Dien Trinh, MD, MBA, FRCSC, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Co-Director of the Cancer Center, and Director of Ambulatory Clinical Operations at the Department of Urology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Additionally, he is the Lead Faculty for ‘Cancer and Comparative Effectiveness’ at the Center for Surgery and Public Health, a joint program of Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public health. He leads a robust team focused on health services research. Primarily, he is focused on costs, patterns, and outcomes of prostate cancer treatments, focused on inequity and outcomes of cancer care. Overall, his mission to advance the science of surgical care delivery by studying effectiveness, quality, equity and value at the health system and population levels, to inform policy and to provide support for faculty and trainees committed to excellence in surgical health services research.

Daniel Wollin, MD, MS,is a urologic surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on the design of novel devices and technologies to treat kidney stones, taking a more focused look at key mechanical determinants of success in intracorporeal lithotripsy, including a better in vitro understanding of laser lithotripsy and percutaneous ultrasonic stone extraction. Additionally, he is interested in urologic disorders as well as understanding the ergonomics/kinematics of endoscopic procedures. Given his interests in the engineering and physics aspects of endourology and kidney stone surgery, he is studying to understand the development of medical devices.
