Multiple Sclerosis
The Brigham Multiple Sclerosis Center, located at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, is world-renowned for providing the most advanced management and treatment options for patients with MS, bolstered by a clinical research program that is leading the way in the latest discoveries. Since its creation in 1999, the center, led by Howard L. Weiner, MD, has been at the forefront of MS patient care and research, including the landmark Comprehensive Longitudinal Investigation of Multiple Sclerosis (CLIMB) cohort, which has provided many insights into genetics, immunology imaging, and treatment of MS.

Alzheimer's Disease
The Alzheimer Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital unites our programs in laboratory research, clinical trials, and patient care to advance the prevention and treatment of this devastating disease. The two major types of clinical research trials under way are observational studies and therapeutic clinical trials. Participants are currently being enrolled in multiple studies, including studies for older individuals with normal cognition, subjects with mild cognitive impairment, and patients who have been diagnosed with mild Alzheimer’s disease dementia.

ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)
At Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the Division of Neuromuscular Disease and Electromyography (EMG) within the Department of Neurology provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, consultation, and management of all neuromuscular disorders, including ALS, peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, muscular dystrophy, and myasthenia gravis. Our team of physicians, nurses, and researchers is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of ALS and related disorders.

Parkinson’s Disease
The Movement Disorder Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with a broad range of movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, tremor, and dystonia. Local clinical trials are ongoing at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and our associated institutions.

Brain Tumors
The Brain Tumor Center at Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center provides compassionate and state-of-the-art brain cancer treatment for patients with primary and secondary brain tumors and spinal cord and neurologic complications of cancer. In addition to providing specialized medical care, a range of support services are offered including nutritional counseling, emotional and spiritual support, financial advice, and complementary therapies such as acupuncture and massage.
