Overall Goals of the Program
Lawrence Panych, PhD, Associate Professor of Radiology, leads the Program in Non-Fourier and RF-Encoding in collaboration with a diverse group of independent investigators, their students, and fellows. A general goal of the program is to leverage advances in non-Fourier and RF encoding to support development of fast, dynamic, and adaptive imaging techniques. The program further aims to develop applications that employ these techniques, most notably but not exclusively, in MRI-guided therapy and functional MRI. Common quality benchmarks of the program are improvements in temporal and spatial resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, artefact reduction, and the enhancement of image contrast.
