The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital works to improve the health of persons with disabling conditions and/or pain through excellent clinical care, teaching, and original research. Our team of physiatrists focuses on restoring function and improving quality of life for patients with acute and chronic conditions producing pain and/or physical impairment and disability. Current activities include outpatient musculoskeletal, sports medicine, and spine care, in collaboration with the Division of Rheumatology, the Division of Women’s Health, and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
When you make a gift to the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, you enable our clinicians to continue to provide comprehensive, leading-edge care. Support from patients, friends and institutional donors helps us train staff and assists patients with treatment costs. Donor support also funds promising research that transforms and saves lives.
