Lynn Bandzul, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Orthopedic Technician

Lynn Bandzul received her Associate of Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Newbury College in 1997. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science degree from Northeastern College of Professional Studies. Lynn joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2002. Currently Lynn treats patients with a variety of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions. Her clinical interests include utilizing medical based yoga methodology and Pilates. Lynn is also trained as an Orthopedic Technician and is skilled in casting, splinting and bracing.

Kelly Belinsky, MS, OTR/L
Senior Occupational Therapist

Kelly Belinsky received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 1989. She worked for 7 years at BWH where most of her tenure was spent in out-patient hand therapy and treating musicians’ injuries. Kelly’s other experience includes working in the BWH Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromuscular clinics, various rehabilitation centers and school systems. In 1997, she founded a private OT practice which specialized in treating performing artists. Over the 18 years of running Performing Arts OT she established herself with the surrounding music schools, orchestras and physicians. She rejoined BWH in 2014. Kelly works closely with Dr. Michael Charness in the BWH Performing Arts Clinic. She splits her time between the Rehabilitation Department at BWH in Boston and the Ambulatory Health Care Center in Chestnut Hill. She specializes in treating musicians with overuse injuries as well as general orthopedic hand and upper extremity injuries.

Kelly has been a welcomed guest speaker at several Boston area music schools on injury prevention and has presented at professional development seminars to her fellow OT’s interested in learning about her approach to treating injured musicians. Kelly is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Performing Arts Medicine Association and American Society of Hand Therapists.

Joanne P. Bosch PT, MSPT, CHT

Certified Hand Therapist

Joanne received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1989. While at BU she was a research assistant at the multipurpose arthritis center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Joanne joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1994. Having worked in both inpatients and outpatients she has treated a wide variety of patient populations which include, orthopedics, rheumatology, oncology, plastics and trauma. She became a board certified hand therapist in 1994. Her clinical interests are treatment of the hand, upper extremity and neck and management of injuries specific to musicians. Publications include Harvard Medical School Health Reports: Hands, Strategies for strong, pain-free hands and Determinants of Patient Satisfaction After MCP Arthroplasty and Over use syndromes of the upper extremity. In 2014 she became certified in Polestar Pilates for both rehabilitation and studio. She enjoys swimming, aquatics, Pilates, yoga/meditation and is student of the classical guitar.

Amy Rivet Butler, PT, MSPT
Senior Physical Therapist

Amy Rivet Butler received her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1994. Amy joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1995. She has experience treating both the inpatient and outpatient population. Her clinical interest is treating orthopedic conditions but will treat across the spectrum in all areas of practice. In her spare time she enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband and young children. Warning she is a Yankee and Giant Fan!

Michael Cowell, PT
Senior Physical Therapist

Michael Cowell received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996. He worked in private practice before joining Brigham and Women’s in 1999. His clinical interests are treating patients with orthopedic conditions including post-operative management and patients who want to return to sports including golf, tennis, running and baseball.

Leigh de Chaves received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 1987. She is a Board Certified in Orthopedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties since 1995. After graduating from Northeastern she worked in private practice focusing on Sports Medicine Rehabilitation. Leigh joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital as the Clinical Supervisor in 2001. She is the Physical Therapy Site Coordinator of Clinical Education. Leigh has training in manual therapy and Dry Needling. Her clinical interests are treatment of orthopedic conditions and post-operative care. Research includes; Katz, J, et al. Surgery versus Physical Therapy for a Meniscal Tear and Osteoarthritis; New England Journal of Medicine 2013; 368:1675-1684.

Arianna Mitropoulos, PT, DPT

Arianna Mitropoulos received her BS in Health Science from Boston University in 2012 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2018. She joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2017 as an orthopedic intern and was hired full time in 2018. Her clinical practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of individuals of all genders with pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, post pelvic surgery issues, as well as pregnancy and postpartum musculoskeletal concerns.

Meghan Markowski received her Master of Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2003 and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2009. Meghan is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and Board Certified in Biofeedback for pelvic muscle dysfunction from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. Meghan joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2008. Her practice is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of individuals with pelvic floor disorders, such as urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, post pelvic surgery issues, as well as pregnancy and postpartum musculoskeletal concerns.

Jeffrey Neal, PT, MSPT, OMT, FAAOMPT

Jeffrey Neal received his Master’s in Physical Therapy from Columbia University in 1990. Since that time, he has worked in numerous out-patient Physical Therapy settings in New York City, Chicago and the Boston area. He joined Brigham and Women’s in 2012. Jeff has studied the Maitland, McKenzie, Mulligan and Michigan State Osteopathic methods of manual therapy. He has also completed a 6 month Sports Medicine Residency through HealthSouth/University of North Carolina and a 2 year manual therapy fellowship based on the Kaltenborn methodology through the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and is a full fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Jeff has also completed the core curriculum through Polestar Pilates for rehabilitation.

Katie Taglieri-Noble PT, DPT, NCS

Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy

Katie Taglieri-Noble received a Bachelor of Health Studies from Simmons College in 2008 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2010. She also holds a board certification as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, which she obtained in 2014. In 2010, Katie started her career at Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital working as an inpatient acute rehabilitation physical therapist treating neurologic conditions. Katie joined Brigham and Women’s Hospital in December 2013 as a Clinical Specialist She treats patients with Neurologic conditions such as brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, Multiple Sclerosis and vestibular disorders. Katie additionally works with patients who have recently fallen or have balance challenges to improve their function and assist in returning to activities they enjoy.

Jessica Zager, PT, DPT, WCS, CLT, CSC

Jessica Zager received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2014. She then completed a yearlong post-doctoral residency in pelvic health physical therapy at the Washington University in St. Louis and is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. To round out her sexual health education as a healthcare professional, she completed the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program in Sexuality Counseling and Sexuality Education.

She is now one of five pelvic health physical therapists in the world who is also a Certified Sexuality Counselor through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). Her primary clinical interests include treating sexual dysfunction, transgender health, and LGBTQIA care. She also treats all other forms of pelvic floor dysfunction including, but not limited to, constipation, abdominal pain, incontinence of urine or stool, pelvic organ prolapse, peripartum care, and clogged milk ducts.

Jess works with individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. She strives to create a safe space for all individuals to feel heard and validated, especially marginalized groups and the LGTBQIA population.
