Patrick Thompson Suite Mission

The Patrick Thompson Suites at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, formerly known as The Patrick Thompson House, was founded in June 1987 by the Department of Social Work and The Division of Hematology.

During its 23 year history, this temporary residence has always strived to provide hematology/oncology patients and their families a comfortable and safe environment in which to live while receiving treatment at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

The home offers families affordable housing as well as the opportunity for people to interact with others undergoing similar challenges and stresses. Emotional and spiritual support is available to everyone while the medical needs of the patients are cared for by the hospital staff.

We welcome you to this special home away from home and trust that you will let us know how we can further assist you while you are staying at The Patrick Thompson Suites at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
