In January 2025, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital launched Mass General Brigham Orthopedics, thus initiating a journey toward a unified, fully integrated department across the system.
It’s an honor to serve as the inaugural chair of this new department. Before this role, I led the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mass General and, prior to that, spent 14 years at Brigham and Women's.
MGB Orthopedics offers the full spectrum of orthopedic care and is the best and most comprehensive orthopedic surgery department in New England. We're proud to offer high-quality, personalized treatment for every orthopedic condition, including hip and knee arthritis, sports injuries, spinal deformities, hand, shoulder and foot disorders, musculoskeletal tumors, and trauma.
Mass General Brigham Orthopedics is a trusted leader in the research and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. As one of the oldest and most respected orthopedic programs in the world, our faculty includes international experts who teach at Harvard Medical School. Education, training, and research are central to our clinical practice.
We care for both children and adults, with specialized expertise in joint replacement, spine, shoulder, hand and arm, foot and ankle, oncology, and trauma. Our Sports Medicine Program treats elite athletes competing at the highest levels of professional sports, including Olympians, collegiate athletes, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Bruins.
We are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. We fulfill this promise by:
- Partnering with you, the patient, to develop a treatment plan designed to get you back to doing the things you love, quickly and safely.
- Innovating minimally invasive techniques and using the latest surgical technologies to continuously refine and improve care.
- Advancing global musculoskeletal care through research and the training of future clinicians.
Holding our team to the highest clinical, academic, and ethical standards.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
