Congratulations on your pregnancy! At the Brigham, we understand that expectant families of twins, triplets or other multiples have plenty of questions. Our Comprehensive Care Center for Multiples is here to provide expert guidance, care and support, every step of the way.
Prenatal Classes for Multiple Parents
Families expecting multiples have certain needs and concerns that singleton families do not, so we offer classes just for you. They feature a mix of lecture, exercises and discussion in a fun, engaging environment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all classes are currently being held virtually.
Join us to explore the unique aspects of your experience, including:
- Having a healthy pregnancy
- Preparing for labor and birth, including a possible cesarean birth
- Breastfeeding multiple newborns
- Preparing for a possible stay in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Caring for your multiple newborns at home
Sarah McNamara, a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and a Certified Lactation Educator, leads our multiple classes. Prior to joining the Brigham in 2017, she spent five years teaching prenatal classes at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California.
Sarah is currently leading a virtual class for parents expecting twins, triplets or more. This series of two classes will cover what to expect during labor and birth. To see class dates and times, please visit the registration page.
