Every pregnancy is special. But being pregnant with twins, triplets or more is something different. Only 3% of mothers experience a multiple birth. It demands much more of you, physically and emotionally, than a singleton birth. In many cases, it creates unanticipated financial and logistical challenges as well.
While learning you are expecting multiples is certainly a cause for joy, it may also raise a host of questions and concerns. To navigate the world of multiples through pregnancy, delivery and beyond, you and your family need the best team on your side.
Meeting the unique needs of families of multiples is why Brigham and Women's Hospital founded the Comprehensive Care Center for Multiples in 2020. Our center is the first of its kind in Greater Boston and one of only a handful in the United States. We strive to ensure all families feel healthy, confident and cared for as they prepare to welcome their newborns into the world.
This is my first time having a multiple pregnancy and after doing my research I choose Brigham and Women’s for my maternity care. I have to say, they have been by far the best choice I made.” - Tania, patient
