As part of its mission to provide world-class clinical care and further the understanding and treatment of neurological diseases, our Department of Neurology sponsors one of the largest and most productive neurological research enterprises in the world amongst our Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Medicine.
The efforts and expertise of this multidisciplinary group of physicians and scientists have produced significant contributions to our understanding of neurological disease mechanisms and to the development of today’s most effective treatments for brain disorders.
Our laboratories conduct both basic science and clinical research to explore a range of complex neurological diseases. The aim of our research is to investigate the underlying risks, treatment strategies, and outcomes associated with these diseases and translate new findings to design and optimize treatment for our patients.
