Pulmonologists in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) provide comprehensive, consultative evaluation and management for patients with lung nodules and pulmonary cancers, and for those with conditions associated with cancer such as pneumonia and pleural effusion. They also care for cancer patients who have pre-existing respiratory health problems, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Our board-certified pulmonologists are an integral part of Chest and Lung Cancer Programs at The Lung Center at BWH. We are the pulmonary medical specialists for Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, a unique treatment center uniting pulmonary specialists and thoracic surgeons from our top-ranked hospital and experts from one of the world’s leading cancer institutes. Our pulmonologists are Harvard Medical School faculty and many are engaged in ongoing, promising research for pulmonary cancers.
From diagnosis to treatment, our multidisciplinary team of physicians, surgeons and healthcare professionals work collaboratively with patients. We are dedicated to educating patients about their specific disease and treatment options so they can make informed decisions. Pulmonary and critical care medicine services are provided in the outpatient setting or our state-of-the-art inpatient units at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
