General Genetics Clinic

The team of medical geneticists and genetic counselors in the General Genetics Clinic provide care and diagnostic services to individuals seeking genetic evaluation. There are a variety of appropriate referral reasons and indications for evaluation in the General Genetics Clinic, including the following:

  • Personal history of complex medical problems suggestive of a genetic etiology
  • Family history of a known or suspected genetic disorder
  • Management of known or suspected genetic disease
  • Genetic risk assessment and screening
  • Coordination and evaluation of genetic testing, including exome and genome sequencing
  • Interpretation and assessment of prior genetic testing
