Obstetrics/Midwifery
The Brookside Obstetrics (OB) Department works to provide sensitive, thorough care to women. We believe that childbirth is a normal, healthy life process. In order to provide the best care possible to are prenatal patients, we are a part of the Brigham and Women's Midwifery Practice. Our staff is multi-cultural and multi-lingual, which allows us to treat all of our patients in a culturally competent manner.
The Brookside Midwives provide:
- Prenatal Care
- Midwifery
- Postpartum Care
- Family planning and wellness education, including breastfeeding education and assistance
Resources and connection to support through our Perinatal/Women's Health Case Manager
The Perinatal/Women's Health Case Manager works with Brookside's Obstetrics patients to case manage, outreach, and provide assessments to high risk women and infants during their pregnancy and the first year of the child's life. The Case Manager can provide these services in a home setting for patients who cannot easily come to the clinic, as well as refer to outside services for additional patient support. In addition to working with pregnant women and new mothers, the Case Manager coordinates the quarterly Dana Farber Mammogram Van events at Brookside.
