Please be advised that insurance plans do not cover our program fees. Because we are unable to bill insurance companies for most of our services, our program is primarily a self-pay program. The only aspects of the program that will be billed to your insurance are physicians visits (initial visits and physician follow up visits).
Program Participation Fees
- Initial evaluation: $100 paid at time of service ($25 when making appointment/$75 balance due at initial visit).
- Program fee - 8 weeks: $300 every 8 weeks, paid in advance.
- Program fee - 6 months: $900 for 26 weeks, paid in advance (Save $75).
- Pay yearly and save: $1650 for 52 weeks, paid in advance (Save $300).
- Weight loss medication: Cost varies, contact your health insurance plan.
Initial Evaluation Fee
- The $100 program initiation fee, charged at your first visit to our program, covers your initial nutritional consultation, as well as other administrative program costs.
- Please note that $25 of this fee is non-refundable if you cancel your initial appointment with less that 48-hours notice.
Your initial medical evaluation will be conducted with a Center for Weight Management and Wellness (CWMW) provider. This needs to be completed before joining the ILT Program. To schedule this visit please call the CWMW access center at 617-525-3597. The visit includes a comprehensive medical evaluation with a CWMW provider. The medical evaluation will be billed to your insurance company. As a result, you may need to have your Primary Care Physician contact your insurance company to obtain a referral prior to scheduling an initial appointment, if your insurance requires referrals.
Your initial evaluation at the ILT Program includes a full consultation with a registered dietitian.
Program Fees
- Ongoing participation is $300 for 8 weeks.
Maintenance Phase
- Our Maintenance program is for those who have reached their weight loss goals and wish to continue participation in the program and prevent weight re-gain. Maintenance phase includes weekly weigh-in and weekly group participation.
- 13 Weeks: $150 paid in advance.
- Pay yearly and save: $450 for 52 weeks, paid in advance (Save $150).
Other Program Costs
HMR Formula
- $42.25 per box of HMR 500 or Chicken Soup
- $44.25 per box of HMR 800
- $45.00 per box of HMR 70 (18 packets)
Full Formula option uses approximately 2-3 boxes per week.
Food & Formula option uses approximately 1-2 boxes per week.

Insurance Coverage
Unfortunately, third party insurance plans do not cover our full program cost. Because we are unable to bill insurance companies for most of our services, our program is primarily a self-pay program. The only aspects of the program that will be billed to your insurance are physicians visits (initial and follow up) through the Center for Weight Management and Wellness. If you believe that your insurance company will cover the cost of the Intensive Lifestyle Therapy Program, we will be happy to provide you with any receipts and/or medical documentation to assist you with your efforts. It will be your full responsibility to submit and collect any insurance reimbursement.
Other Costs
- Blood samples will be drawn for laboratory analysis. Laboratory testing is billed directly to your insurance company.
- Any residual balance for laboratory testing is the responsibility of the patient.
All payments are due at the time of service. We accept personal checks, Flex Spending Accounts, Discover, Master Card, Visa, and American Express.
