Education and Training

The Division of Aging does not directly administer any fellowships. However, all eight of the fellows in the Harvard Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine rotate through the division for six weeks each year. In addition, those fellows who participate in the Harvard Medical School Fellowship in General Medicine and Primary Care and are based at the VA Boston Healthcare System receive their Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s appointments through the Division of Aging.

MSTAR Mentor of the Year Award

At the end of the MSTAR cycles, we ask the student scholars whether they would like to nominate their mentor for The Greater Boston MSTAR at Harvard Mentor of the Year Award, an award given to an outstanding research role model who makes a meaningful impact on a scholar's career trajectory by engaging them in all aspects of the research experience and offering them helpful professional guidance.
