Pamela Brown Linzer

Pamela Linzer, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, leads the Center for Nursing Excellence at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Center of Nursing Professional Development, Practice, and Innovation at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. The centers encompass education, scholarship, research, quality, informatics and other areas in support of advancing clinical nursing practice.

Pam also oversees Patient Care Services, which includes Nutrition and Rehabilitation Services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as Spiritual Care Services and Interpreter Services for Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

She previously led the Medicine division at the Brigham, including three Beacon Award-winning medical intermediate care units.

Pam joined the Brigham in 2021 from Winchester Hospital, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, where she served as associate chief nursing officer for inpatient nursing, nursing budget and resources and informatics. A published author and researcher, Pam is an expert in data-based approaches to facilitating improvement in quality and patient safety outcomes.
