Nada Wakim, PhD, RN, NE-BC, leads nursing in the areas of Oncology, Medicine, Orthopaedics and General Surgery.
She has extensive experience as a nursing leader in various settings, as well as an immense dedication to clinical excellence, education, innovation, research, quality and safety.
Nada joined the Brigham from South Miami Hospital (part of the Baptist Health system in Florida), where she served as assistant vice president of Nursing for seven years. She previously served as director of nursing services for South Miami Hospital and nurse manager of Baptist Hospital of Miami. Throughout her career, she has held nursing manager and clinical nurse roles at several hospitals in the U.S. as well as Beirut, Lebanon.
Nada’s research has focused on occupational stress among nurses, patient falls, exploring workplace incivility, nurse retention and other topics. She is a published author and a presenter at national conferences.
