The eDiary is a web-based sleep-wake diary designed for easy and accurate data capture with participant-friendly data entry, real-time feedback and data visualization. The diary includes multiple question-response types (e.g., robust date-time pickers, visual analog scales), real-time consistency checking and an administrator interface which provides useful tools for both study staff and researchers.
Over 85,000 days of data, from over 3,500 participants and across more than 10 studies funded by the NIH, NIOSH and other agencies, have been collected with the eDiary. The diary delivers clean, accurate data, minimizes study team time and effort, improves data quality and reduces participant burden. It has standard sleep-related questions and can be customized to include work schedules, daily activities, mood and/or any other question required for data collection.
For more information about the eDiary, visit our documentation site, or contact us at sleepmatters@partners.org.
