Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center (20 Patriot Place, Foxborough)

Brigham and Women’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Foxborough is a medical program designed to assist you in making heart healthy lifestyle choices to lower your risk of heart disease and stroke. Under the direction of cardiologists, our staff includes cardiac nurses, physical therapists, exercise physiologists and registered dietitians.

Our program is developed specifically for patients recovering from:

  • Heart attack
  • Coronary bypass surgery (CABG)
  • Angioplasty/stent
  • Angina
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Heart transplant
  • Ventricular assist device implantation

We provide supervised exercise sessions but also emphasize education and a sustainable heart-healthy lifestyle - including risk factor reduction, nutrition, and strategies for stress management. Patients participating in cardiac rehabilitation have been demonstrated to live longer and with a better quality of life than those who do not. The program is designed to achieve exercise, behavioral and educational goals, accommodating patients of all ages and capacities.

Most insurance plans cover the costs for this therapy. The BWH Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

Patients attend sessions once or twice weekly for up to 11 weeks. Exercise sessions and education classes are held at a variety of times.
