The medicine subinternship, a required rotation for all HMS medical students, plays a crucial role in preparing students for internship. One of the most essential yet often overlooked skills in this transition is pre-rounding—an integral part of nearly every internship that is rarely taught in a formal way. In this session, we will share the results of our innovative pre-rounding curriculum, developed and studied within the BWH medicine subinternship, and explore its impact on student preparedness.
