Occasional pain is a natural part of life. Nearly everyone understands the experience of headaches and back pain, or pain after a medical procedure. For some people, however, pain is the predominant influence in their lives and dictates how they function every day.
At the Center for Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), we are here to help. We offer comprehensive clinical services, innovative technology and advanced research programs provided by our dedicated practitioners and pain experts. As a nationally recognized center for pain medicine, our center is a model of innovation and excellence.
The Brigham and Women’s Hospital Center for Pain Therapy and Research encompasses two programs: Clinical care and education, which is provided through the Center for Pain Medicine, and basic science and clinical research, which is conducted through the Pain Research Center.
