A Pre-Placed volunteer is a volunteer who has already established a relationship with a department and attained a volunteer placement prior to attending New Volunteer Orientation.
Instead of providing the two letters of recommendation, a pre-placed volunteer will need to obtain a letter from the BWH department supervisor to submit to the Volunteer Program and Training Coordinator prior to being registered for NVO.
The letter must be written on department letterhead and include the following information:
- A description of the duties the volunteer will be performing
- Volunteer's weekly schedule (days and hours-should be no more than 9 hours per week)
- Volunteer's start date and an end date
All other instructions for Getting Started are the same as for General Volunteers.
