MCEP Getting Started

Questions to ask yourself before you apply to MCEP

  • Have I carefully and realistically considered my schedule to make sure that I am able to commit to a weekly volunteer time for a minimum of one year and 140 hours?
  • Am I comfortable in a clinical environment where I will see adults who are sick or in pain and families under stress?
  • Will I be able to treat my commitment to volunteer similarly to the seriousness with which I treat work or school obligations?
  • Am I comfortable submitting personal (professional and/or academic) references and having a background check?
  • Am I willing and able to maintain professional boundaries with patients and families?

MCEP Application Process

To get started, please complete the online application by the deadline indicated in the MCEP orientation schedule.

Once that is complete, please email bwhvcas@partners.org for more information regarding onboarding and getting signed up for orientation.
