For the last seven years, Morris has held a leadership role in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at the Brigham. He worked tirelessly during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic as co-incident commander, ensuring that the Brigham remained a safe place to receive and provide high-quality, compassionate, and equitable care. He continues to serve as a representative of and advocate for our local community.
"The Brigham family is known for providing exceptional patient care and innovative research, and I’m honored to have been chosen for this role,” said Charles Morris, MD, MPH, the Brigham’s new chief medical officer said. “I look forward to collaborating with the Brigham’s talented leadership within Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization.”
