Peter A. Banks, MD, Director of the Center for Pancreatic Disease, is one of several founding doctors of the New England Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation who will receive the Joan Cutler Lifetime Achieve Award at their annual meeting this fall. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. CCFA and the Cutler family want to acknowledge the founding doctors of the New England Chapter, as they have continued to provide the New England Chapter with their constant support and dedication for over 30 years. Dr. Banks has also received the Vay Liang and Frisca Go Award for Lifetime Achievement by the American Pancreatic Association at their annual meeting. He is a past president of the American Pancreatic Association and a past president of the International Association of Pancreatology.
