American Heart Association Distinguished Scientist Award

JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH, FAHA

JoAnn E. Manson, MD, DrPH, FAHA, Chief of the Division of Preventive Medicine at BWH and the Michael and Lee Bell Professor of Women's Health at Harvard Medical School, has been selected to receive a Distinguished Scientist Award from the American Heart Association (AHA). She will receive the award during the Opening Session of the AHA's Scientific Sessions in November 2011. Dr. Manson is being recognized for exceptional contributions and leadership in the field of women's health and prevention of cardiovascular disease in women, as well as for her pioneering research that has had a tremendous impact on clinical practice and public health.
