Caryn Belisle, RPh, MBA, of the Department of Pharmacy Services, was named president of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
The Governor appointed Belisle to the Board's hospital pharmacist seat in 2021, and she is serving a 3-year term. This year, Belisle was elected to serve as president-elect and will complete her term as president in 2023.
Belisle is the Director of Pharmacy Regulatory Compliance, Quality, and Safety and has 22 years of service at BWH. Her research focuses on quality and safety in the inpatient setting, the impact of legislation on pharmacy practice, and new technological advances in healthcare.
The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy operates under the Department of Public Health and oversees the licensures of pharmacies, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy interns in the state.
