Larissa Nekhlyudov, MD, MPH, an attending physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Primary Care Associates, Longwood, was elected as the first scholar to participate in the National Cancer Institute (NCI)/AcademyHealth Healthcare Delivery Research Visiting Scholars Program.
This program provides mid-career scientists working in health care-delivery research with time to develop new research directions that advance both their own career goals and the field.
Nekhlyudov is the former medical director of Brigham and Women’s Hospital Primary Care Associates, Longwood. Her research, clinical and educational efforts focus on improving the care of cancer survivors and the interplay between primary and oncologic care. Through the Visiting Scholars Program, she will work closely with collaborators at NCI and its parent organization, the National Institutes of Health, on projects related to these topics.
