Minority Faculty Awarded Career Development Awards

The BWH Center for Faculty Development & Diversity honored Ebony Carter, MD, MPH, Khady Diouf, MD, and Rose Kakoza, MD, with 2012 Career Development Awards.

The BWH Minority Faculty Career Development Award (MFGDA) is granted annually to early-career underrepresented minority academicians and aims to assist them in obtaining and developing the skills necessary to attain a faculty appointment at BWH and Harvard Medical School. This is a $150,000 award which is paid out over a 7-year period. Each department chair nominates up to 2 individuals that should be considered for the Award.

The 2012 recipients are:

Ebony Carter, MD, MPH, attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Khady Diouf, MD, associate obstetrician gynecologist in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Rose Kakoza, MD, primary care chief medical resident in the Department of Medicine
