Sonal V. Gandhi serves as Vice President of Real Estate, Planning and Construction at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Sonal is responsible for all real estate, planning and construction activities for the entire Brigham portfolio, comprising of over 4 million square feet. Sonal comes to the Brigham following an impressive 20-year career at the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA), where she served in multiple leadership roles, most recently as Deputy Chief of Staff. Over the course of two decades, Sonal oversaw master planning and development in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area and all Boston area academic medical centers, working with healthcare institutions throughout Boston to support the growth of Boston’s life sciences and healthcare sectors. In addition, Sonal was responsible for the creation and direction of major public policy, legislation, economic development, planning and communication strategies for the City of Boston. Named one of Boston's 40 under 40 by Boston Business Journal, Gandhi holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in Urban Planning from Harvard University.
