Our History
The Association of Multicultural Members of Partners was formed in 1993 as an outgrowth of the "Minority Recruitment Task Force" charged with developing ideas for recruiting minorities into management positions at the MGH. This group transitioned from a task force to an ongoing association and a new chapter at Brigham and Women's Hospital was founded in 1998. The following mission statement was developed to broaden and guide their work. The association has grown and developed over time, but our work stays true to this same mission.
Our Mission
AMMP is committed to the advancement, retention, recruitment, and development of multicultural professionals into leadership roles at all levels and areas of the Partners organization.
Proactive hiring, promoting, and retention of a diverse workforce will enable Partners and its entities to meet the emerging needs of an increasingly diverse patient population. Such a commitment will enhance our strategic goals and position Partners as a global leader in the health-care industry.
AMMP is a volunteer employee network organization made up of employees from the Brigham and Women's/Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospitals, Mass General Brigham System and it entities.
