Cardiothoracic Surgery
Dr. Raphael Bueno is the Division Associate Chief of Thoracic Surgery and the Program Director for the Brigham and Women's Hospital / Children's Hospital Program in Cardiothoracic Surgery. This two-year ACGME accredited program prepares physicians for certification by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition to the accredited residency program, we also have a number of positions for clinical and research fellows. This program accepts four residents per year, two in a cardiac track position, and two in the thoracic track. [more info]
Dental
Dr. Agnes Lau is the General Practice Residency Director. The Brigham and Women's Hospital / Harvard-Wide General Practice Residency is structured to provide experience in all phases of inpatient and ambulatory dental care. To provide a broad educational experience, the training program combines the resources of two Harvard affiliated institutions, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Each dental resident rotates through an affiliated institution's dental services. In addition, residents have required rotations in oral and maxillofacial surgery, anesthesiology and internal medicine. [more info]

Dr. Stanley Ashley is the Vice Chair of Department of Surgery and the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The five-year ACGME accredited general surgery residency provides surgical education of the highest caliber leading to American Board of Surgery Certification in general surgery within an environment designed to encourage clinical and basic scientific investigational experience. Minimally Invasive Surgery
Dr. David Brooks is the Program Director for the Brigham and Women's Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship. This one-year program accepts one laparoscopic fellow and is based at Brigham and Women's Hospital. [more info]
Otolaryngology
Dr. Keith Saxon is the Site Program Director of the Harvard Program in Otolaryngology. The program is based at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (MEEI) with residents rotating through MEEI, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and other Harvard affiliated institutions. Surgical Critical Care
Dr. Selwyn O. Rogers, Jr. is the Division Chief of Trauma, Burns, and Surgical Critical Care and the Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. The one-year ACGME accredited surgical critical care fellowship provides surgical education of the highest caliber leading to American Board of Surgery Certification in Surgical Critical Care within an environment designed to encourage clinical and basic scientific investigational experience. Surgical Oncology
Dr. Monica Bertagnolli is the Program Director for the Dana-Faber/Brigham and Women's Hospital Surgical Oncology Fellowship. To train oncologic surgeons who are national leaders in cancer treatment and research, the fellowship program includes a minimum of 18 months of clinical oncology training, during which time the Fellow will work directly with academic oncologists from all treatment specialties. The research portion of the fellowship program includes from 6-18 months of training in a basic cancer research laboratory, under the direction of a senior research scientist at Harvard Medical School. Dr. David Sugarbaker is Division Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Chief of Surgical Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The Division offers opportunities for research as well as non-ACGME clinical fellowships. [more info]
Urology
Dr. Jerome Richie is Division Chief of Urology and the Program Director for the Harvard Program in Urology, which is based at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Children's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The training program accepts three new residents each year and graduates three each year. Applicants who match with this program spend one preliminary year in the general surgery residency program at the Brigham. [more info]

Dr. Michael Belkin is the Division Chief of Vascular Surgery and the Program Director for the ACGME accredited program in vascular surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. This two-year accredited program is based at Brigham & Women's Hospital and accepts one new fellow each year. [more info]
