Center for Neurologic Diseases

Overview

The collaborative nature of the Center for Neurologic Diseases (CND) allows Brigham and Women's Hospital to provide the highest level of care while promoting discovery and accelerating the translation of scientific findings into clinical practice.

Comprised of a group of multidisciplinary biomedical research laboratories, The Center for Neurologic Diseases has a central objective in the application of a wide range of current biological methods to the elucidation of the pathogenesis and treatment of certain chronic, unsolved neurological diseases: multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's Disease.

Leaders in the field, Dennis Selkoe, MD and Howard L. Weiner, MD co-direct The Center for Neurologic Diseases. In addition to a wide range of clinically related research, many of the laboratories that make up The Center for Neurologic Diseases have an additional focus directed and understanding basic human and animal immunology.
