Using internally administered radioactive tracers, Nuclear Medicine physicians provide patients with consultation and diagnosis. Diagnostic procedures include scintigraphic imaging of the brain, bones, thyroid, heart, lungs and kidneys. Apart from routine diagnostic procedures, special emphasis is placed on new radiopharmaceuticals and on single-photon computed tomography (SPECT and PET).
