Specialized Treatment for Brain and Spinal Cord Tumors
The Brain Tumor Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) offers compassionate and state-of-the-art treatment for patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors and neurologic complications of cancer.
Our neurosurgeons closely collaborate with the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to develop an individual treatment plan for each of our patients. The multidisciplinary team of specialists from the Department of Neurosurgery and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute includes neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, radiation oncologists, social workers, and nurse practitioners who provide compassionate and effective care for patients with benign and malignant tumors, including all types of brain, skull base, pituitary and acoustic neuroma tumors.
In addition to the multidisciplinary team that provides your direct care, there are also dedicated critical care specialists available 24/7 in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. This includes neuro-radiologists committed to analyzing your imaging, neuro-pathologists devoted to diagnosing your tumor type, and neuro-anesthesiologists that specialize in assisting your surgical treatments.
