The Obstetric Resident Outpatient Health Practice offers ambulatory hospital-based obstetric care primarily for a culturally and socio-economically diverse population. First and second year residents provide the low risk prenatal care. One session a week, the chief resident provides care for diabetic patients. Nawal Nour, MD, MPH, and Tanya Ghatan, MD, supervise the residents during the low risk sessions and also care for patients with diabetes, twins and thyroid disease. The higher risk patients are followed in the Special Obstetric Practice. This practice is run by both the Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellow and chief resident and is supervised by Katherine Economy, MD.
