Please plan to leave your room as soon as you can on your discharge day so that other patients will not be delayed. If you need special transportation, such as a chair-car or ambulance, please tell your nurse so we can help you arrange it.
Discharge Lounge
Patients who are discharged throughout the day, but are unable to leave the hospital by their discharge time, are encouraged to use the Discharge Lounge. The Discharge Lounge is located in Admitting, which is off the Main Lobby at the 75 Francis Street entrance. The registered nurse in the Discharge Lounge can assist you during your stay. The lounge has comfortable chairs and a television, and provides light meals. If you are having your prescriptions filled at the hospital's outpatient pharmacy, Discharge Lounge staff will make the arrangements for you. They also will assist you in getting to other appointments you may have in the hospital on the day you are discharged.
If your family is picking you up at the Discharge Lounge, they can park at the 75 Francis Street main entrance to the hospital.
