The Center for Older Adult Health is geared to meet the needs of patients 65 and older in need of primary or consultative care. Patients have a choice of two locations, the Faulkner Hospital or the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Arthritis Center. Physicians work with patients to optimize overall health and to achieve the goals important to that individual – from helping patients maintain good health to treating acute and chronic conditions. This includes determining the best way to manage multiple conditions, which sometimes affect older patients.
The Center for Older Adult Health also includes geriatric oncology and cardiology specialists, and provides consultation and training for caregivers treating patients with dementia and memory problems.
