Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

This October marks Domestic Violence Awareness month. According to a recent survey conducted by the Division for Violence Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), on average, 24 people per minute are victims of physical violence, rape or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States. This emphasizes the importance of prevention and early intervention efforts along with funding and services for victims of violence.

To raise awareness about domestic violence, Brigham and Women's Hospital has created a social media photo sharing campaign, "Do No Harm". We invite you to help raise awareness by encouraging your social media users to participate in the campaign with us.  To participate, users take a creative photo of themselves holding this sign, "do no harm" and share it with us on our social channels. We invite users to caption their photo with ways that they "Do No Harm" and why they support this campaign.
